My childhood bestie!!

After Myles' T-ball we headed to Gilroy to have a family picnic with my childhood best friend and her entire family. We have not seen each other in about nine years. It was only recently that we reconnected thru myspace, go figure. Anyways Tammie and I grew up together. We played sports together, went to elementary school together, vacationed together and much much more. We were inseparable except we always fought!! Her home was my second home which worked out well since she only lived directly across the street from me :)Still to this day we are very much alike. We both love kids and have or have had a family childcare home, we both have three kiddos ranging from nine to nine months!! I am looking forward to her returning to this area this summer so we can really spend some quality time together. We have great childhood memories together but I am hoping we can make new memories with our kids :) It was so busy this day that I barely took any pictures, sad to say I do not even have one of her and I together. Next time.

Surgery Day for Riley Roo!

6:30am waiting to go in. Riley is still happy and excited here. He really did not know much all we told him was that the doctor was going to make his ears all better.

Riley is not so happy here. In fact he is really upset that he has to wear this gown. Once they attached the sticky heart monitor things he got even more upset.

Finally he's happy here. I think he forgot about all the things he was attached to. A few minutes latter they wheeled him in his bed out of his room and down the hall. Once he went thru the double doors he was out of our hands. That was so HARD. Thank God Riley was happy and waving good bye! Jeff and I then sat in the waiting room for about thirty minutes. When they brought us back we learned one of the nurses had been calling him the wrong name as he was waking up. So you can only imagine how that made him feel and us too. Since then we have filed a formal complaint. Riley was very upset for about an hour after having the tubes put in. We never really expected him to be in as much pain as he was in. That was sorta scary for a little bit. Once we got that under control things turned up. When we got home he just sorta laid around on the floor for a bit. After he started eating and by the early afternoon he was back to his usual self. So far he is doing well, Thank God!

Beach Day!

Today was extremely hot!!! So after I picked Myles up from school we headed out to the beach to meet up with some friends. This by far has been the hardest outing I have gone on by myself with all three of my kiddos. Way too much work for such a little amount of time thanks to those good old parking meters!! Next time we will go to our usual spot and take as much time as we want :)
She really did not like the sand or the water getting all up in her business. Yes and I am not a fan of two pieces for little girls, well at least not in public places but this is all I got, for now so...oh well.
Riley is still hot and cold when it comes to going in the water. I swear every season is different for him. Will see how this year turns out.
Myles is still fearless when it comes to the water. This day he hung out with some kids he did not even know and he went in all the way up to his shoulders!! Crazy kid!!

Family Fun Day @ Girloy Gardens!!

So we went to GG today and rode almost every ride possiable. Myles went on both roller coasters with dad and Riley got to go on a few special rides with just dad to. So fun!! Zoey even got to ride a horse :)

Zoey insisted upon sitting with her big brothers for dinner at the kids table. She is such a big girl. Yes, she is sitting all by herself unbelted in a preschool sized chair. Someone recently told me my house looks like a preschool, is that a bad thing?? I just think it is a super kid friendly home :)

Nine Months in Nine Months Out!

1. Precious gift from God!
2. Beautiful baby blue eyes that light up our life!
3. Loves to try new things, including crawling, walking alongside, pulling herself upon everything and clapping her hands!
4. Sun shinny smile that melts my heart.
5. Joyful when playing with her big brothers!
6. Her giggles are very contagious!
7. She is a champ when it comes to nursing and trying new foods!
8. She is tough, no doubt with two big and busy brothers always in her face!

So a few minutes after this picture was taken I decided to burn the heck out of my eye with some really hard contact solution, basically hydrogen proxoide. I spent about two hours at the E.R. mind you this happened as we were minutes from walking out the door to church. Such a bummer we missed Easter morning service again. We missed it last year becasue we took a trip to D-Land!! If only that were the case this year. Luckily my eye was unharmed well outside of the continuous burning sensation... Needless to say Easter day did not go as planned, well we really didn't have plans anyhow. We had a very mellow day after such a tramatic morning. I definately frightened the boys with my screams of shocking pain and non good choice of words :(

We took the kids to MC Donalds for lunch, then over to the great grandparents for a quick visit. I was still not feelnig all that well and it was really hard to be in the light so we were homebound the rest of the afternoon. We had dinner at Panda Express and then afterwards we atteneded a night service here in town. At least we were able to be together as a family and greatfully we ended our day praising the one who died for us!! Easter is an amazing day in which we will be forever greatful for even if things do not go the way we planned. God is so good!!

Family Fun Day!

On this special Family Fun Day we brought our special friend Tessa with us as we ventured off to Great America! Surprisingly it is a very kid friendly place. So many age appropriate rides. Lucky for us is was not very busy at all. Us big kids even got to sneak in the "good" rides





So I was going to do this Xtreme Fly'n thing with Tessa but I chickened out so Jeff went instead. I will try to post the video of it soon :)
Tessa and I snuck in two rides, if that wasn't enough all ready Jeff made me go on with him!! Myles went on this when he was not even two but I guess they changed the requirements because now he is not tall enough, so strange.

Egg Dyeing Fun!

Lucky for us our special friend Uriah and his little brother (not pictured here) were able to join us for some egg dyeing fun!
I am still so surprised that there was no major spill or even dyed body parts. If you have boys you know what I mean :)
