Proverbs 3:27
"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it."
I love gift giving! Mostly because once the gift is given you can see an immediate response on someones face. Instant gratification at it's finest. It's true some gifts last longer then others. Some fulfill a need, or a want. We have always tried to give our kids a little of both without going overboard. There is truly a fine line that we most definitely struggle with day to day this season and beyond. There is something special about this season however, something that makes gift giving more special then any other time of year. It's the constant reminder of why we celebrate Christmas, Jesus Christ.
We are all ready so blessed. We really do not need ANYTHING, but there are plenty of people beyond where our physical eyes can see and beyond where our physical feet can go...our spiritual heart sees it all and in the right setting something truly magical can happen.
I love blog reading! When I can't sleep at night or when I have some free time I try and read as much as I possibly can. Usually I find myself reading anything and everything dealing with life in Africa. Some of you all ready know my heart for this country, others may not. One day I hope and pray that I can physically go there and see first hand the things my heart grieves over and somehow contribute to the long term goal of this country.
in the mean time all I can do is pray, and GIVE!
I know there are so many options on where to spend or give your money this season but I pray that you would consider giving to one of these awesome causes. Both are dear to my heart for many reasons. As of right now the links are not showing up...I hope they will soon.
