Riley + Pixie Stick = Half Naked Table Dancing!

After Myles' t-ball game we went to the snack shack and let the boys pick out a treat. They decided on the enormus pixie sticks! So we let them share the giant tube of sugar and this is the end result for Riley. We barely got the camera out in time as this was his last dance and a lot more tame then the rest, if you can believe it!!

Look mom, one handed! & Eight months!

Zoey Belle is now 8months old! She is such a delight, usually very happy. She is still not sleeping through the night but more often then not she is in her bed for the most part of the night. Which as it turns out is not going to be a good thing since she has developed the new trick of sitting up from a laying down position! She is still in the cradle which has very low sides, if she sits up and leans over she will fall out so now we need to figure out what we are going to do. She is not quite crawling yet however she can get on all fours and rocks back and forth and side to side. She can move about a step or too and then falls to her belly. She still roles where ever she wants to go. Zoey loves to stand and does a pretty good job of pulling her self up on things. She also likes to scare us by letting go or doing "one handed" tricks! She is talking a ton now too. She can say, mama, Dada, Nana, Hi Dada, my and maybe ri, it is still hard to tell. She gibber jabbers a ton too. Her voice is just so sweet and soft, so different from the boys! We are having so much fun with having a little girl!! We can hardly wait to see what this next month will bring :)

This is the first year Myles will be able to participate in T-ball. He is on the Reds! There are several classmates on his team including two of his favorite friends, Cody and Sean! I snuck taking this picture of his team this past weekend while they were taking their professional team photo, ha ha!! I also am posting his schedule of games, hopefully you can make it to one. Let us know if you need directions or details, we would love to see you out on the ball field wearing your RED!

A, B, C's!!

Riley is amazing, honestly simply amazing. All though I may have an extensive preschool teaching background and many supplies are with in arms reach I fail daily at engaging Riley in any preschool like activity. However today was not one of those days!! This morning we headed to Glory to pick up a few things ant Michael's that I had been putting off. Much to my surprise we found this amazing wooden alphabet puzzle! I know you must be thinking what is so great about this abc puzzle right, well lets just say that wooden puzzles are not cheap!! This puzzle though is probably the best find I have had in awhile! It cost me $1.00!!! The other great thing about this amazing puzzle is that we got to color it however we wanted too!! Of course Riley can not stay in the lines all to well so I helped out a bit:) Anyhow since buying this puzzle a few hours ago Riley has managed to recognize a few letters! A for Auntie Christie! D for Dad! G for Gi Gi's, grandma and grandpa! M for Myles and Mom! R for Riley! U for Uncle! and Z for Zoey! Okay well for never working with him before today which I still do not feel like I did I think he is pretty AMAZING!!

Here it is!

and yes as usual he is pantless!!

A whole new room!

Jeff left last Thursday to attend a youth conference in Ohio. While he was gone for four nights and basically five days I decided to change up our room. Since before Zoey was born our room was sorta the catch all. It consisted of our sleeping area, "office stuff", baby's bed and kids broken toys, toys on time out, art work, scrabooking stuff etc... Anyways I have been feeling overwhelmed by it for the longest time, in fact I dreaded going in there day after day as it just made me anxious knowing at some point I needed to deal with it. Most days you could not even see the floor, so not me, at least not before kids!! Anyhow I have no before pics as I would never want to relive what I lived with but here are a few after pics.
I bought a new dresser which we now share. Before I used the top of my laundry basket and suitcase while Jeff used his six drawer dresser all to himself!!
I also picked up two "bookshelves" although I am using them as bed side tables. I got some drawers to go in them as well and a few cute boxes to keep the clutter at a minimum. I have not hung any pictures yet because silly Jeff had both our hammers in his car which was parked over the hill.

Anyhow while he was gone this is what I did and yes all this stuff had to be put together, so not fun!! And yes the kids might have been a bit neglected :( but hey they got to pick out the welcome home flowers!! Jeff's reaction was the typical guy statement..."how much did it cost?" I think he is relieved though that he did not have to do any of the cleaning or building, lucky him!! Now if he can only remember where his laundry basket is :) oh and yes Zoey is still in our room.
